Allan had many truly lovely friends at college, who were shocked and upset at losing him when they were expecting him to return to college with a new lease of life.  At their next open evening they performed scenes from 'Grease' and money raised on the door was donated to Kidney Research in Allan's honour.  I was presented with a handwritten and illustrated book of rememberance where many of his friends and a former teacher had written anecdotes and memories of their times with him.
